Sublime in Nature

A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever
~ John Keats

In the future, each new botanical perfume launch will have a beautiful display and grand feast. Ideally François Vatel would orchestrate the event and each of you would receive an invite.

Last night I introduced my daughter Eve to one of my favorite films, Vatel. I knew she would appreciate it because, like mother, she adores all things sublime in nature. This film is a bouquet of grace and exquisite harmony. True the story is not to the level of the direction, cinematography, art direction, music, acting and costumes. In the case of this film the story is just good enough for the visuals to carry you to the end. Vatel is a sensual banquet of eye candy with the appeal of the current shabby chic, vintage, French style currently in fashion.

Know that I intend for my perfumed art works to bring you this heightened level of pleasure to the senses through all aspects of the business. From actual organic matter, to divine liquid or creamy unguent and every little detail.

Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground
Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
'Til the rain comes tumbling down

~ from The Garden Song

It's so beautiful Lucy! Orlando is another one.

I loved the book, too -- the image of Elizabethans in full regalia skating on the iced over Thames with the bonfires going in the night, and many many other images...

Vatel AND Orlando !

More proof positive that we are so aligned, in more ways than we can consciously fathom ;-)

I hope to enfold Eve, one fine day.
How I would enjoy sharing her....
