Status Report: Sun Moon Day

I'm still writing, writing, writing for my online Art of Botanical Perfume course. Today I realized the challenge getting these modules and lessons done, is that as I translate them from a live course to one online I find more interesting bits to include. I'm tumbling further and further down the rabbit hole of Alchemy, and wow it sure smells good here, I don't want to leave.

It's a problem from the point of finishing up the course, but not so much as an artist. Today, during my wonderings in the deep caverns of the rabbit hole I came across the word epistemology, which is a branch of philosophy that investigates the origin, nature, methods, and limits of human knowledge."1 Ah-hah...I must be an epistemologist! I thought I was an artist, no a perfumer, no wait, an alchemist, no a magician, no wait....

"Art is, like magic, the science of manipulating symbols,
words, or images, to achieve changes in consciousness."
~ Alan Moore

Anyway, back to translating the lessons....I realized that teaching LIVE is very different than ONLINE. When I present information in a classroom or conference there is an unseen dynamic that takes place between all of us. This mysterious force most likely has something to do with how our heart is a brain and the cardiac field touching those 8-10 feet from where we are positioned. One person's heart signal can affect another's brainwaves, and heart-brain synchronization can occur between two people when they interact. 2 Thus, with a group of live students we are all synchronizing our hearts and brains in ways that doesn't not occur in an online class. The realization of this subtle yet powerful energetic caused me to re-think the online course to fill in the gaps. The honey bees make propolis out of resin and honey to fill in gaps, my propolis was adding extra lessons and content.
