Scent of the Day: Jasmine

The scent for today is the Jasmine contained in my facial oil. No perfume in the early part of the day, since I will be working in the studio. Yesterday as we departed on our journey down South I noticed that a neighbors Jasmine shrub is very full and red, indicating the eminent arrival of of sweet, heady, floral saturated air.

Jasmine, also referenced as Queen of the Night, is a key ingredient in the palette of the natural, botanical perfumer. The fragrance is rich with a heavy floral and indolic qualities that make many of us swoon.

Our botanical perfume which features this heavenly note is Cimbalom, also found in Lyra, Vespertina Aurora, Vera, Sierra and Rosa.
